Have you invested in your sister in Christ this week. I mean really have you. Let me share with you what I mean.
We all have our own lives and we often times neglect the value of our friends by living these lives. Sure we all get busy but if all we do in life is take the to invest in those things that interest us and not those of our sisters in Christ then we do our Father a great disservice.
Consider the life of Christ. He invested in others...why? Because He knew their very lives depended on it. His investment made the difference between life and death for them.
Are we not called to be more like Christ?
Let me ask you this are you so wrapped in you that you can't invest in someone else for a few moments. Think about it before you answer? Your answer just may surprise you.
So what are some ways you can invest in your sister? I will share a few that I use in my life to stay connected in invested in my sisters and give a few examples of how some of my sisters stay invested in me.
1. Pray with her and for her. Find out what her needs are, write them down and pray for them. I have a friend, Elizabeth, who is always such an encouragement to me. If she does not see me around the net, she emails me and lets me know I am on her mind and she is praying for me.
2. Find out what she enjoys and learn more about it. You just might learn something. I am a vegan, the majority of my friends are not. However some of them have taken the time to find out more about the lifestyle so that they can learn more about me. In turn I am able to invest in them by sharing ways they too can eat healthier.
3. If she has her own business find out what small part you can do. Visit her website, purchase her products, have a party for her is she is in direct sales....do something. When I started selling Warm Spirit Products my girls Shelley and Shellie immediately made a purchase. Why? They believe in me. Shoot, they believed in me even when I did not believe in myself. Truly they have invested in me; not just in business, but in life, and I am forever grateful for that.
4. Does she have a mailing list...join it. I belong to every one of my sisters mailing list. Why? It is important for me to invest. Even on my own list I have some of my sisters on it who are not vegan but they are still saying " I support you"...to me that is priceless.
5. Take her out to lunch or if she is in another state send her a card every now and then.
6. When you call her don't just talk about you. How many of us are guilty of that? ME ME ME!!! Talk to her about her and be sincere with it.
There are many ways that we can invest. Bottom line...it is not about you but about the God we serve!
Stop putting all of spiritual your money in one basket...your own. Take the time to invest it somewhere else. The return is worth more than silver or gold!
Have a Blessed Day and Remember...
In Him You Live!
