The importance of QUIET TIME---
Spending time with the Lord, be it in prayer, reading his word, or listening to one of your favorite sermons. Designate a time in your day daily to accomplish this. If you have small children it can before they wake up in the early hours of the morning just before breakfast, it can also be during their day time nap. I like the idea of "morning time" because it allows us to give God the first part of our day.
How can you make Jesus the center of your family life if he is not the center of yours already.
We must be centered on Christ, depending DAILY on the Word, or our lives and our family's lives will ultimately suffer. Set a goal that's reasonable for yourself each day to spend time with God. Whether its 15 minutes or 60 minutes, its your time spent with Lord. Set a time frame that you think you will be able to keep and then carry it out. Pray and ask the Lord to give you a desire for the Word, and to help you to make and keep this time with Him an important priority every day. When we set the mood for this in our home our children are sure to learn by example and when the mature to adulthood and have families of their own they will remember the home setting they had as a child growing up and will want the same for their households because they got to see first hand the positive results from living in a household that was Christ centered.
God Bless Sisters,
